Description
The Ugears Hexapod Explorer is a 388-piece wooden mechanical robot with selectable walking speeds. A rear lever lets you choose crawling, walking or running mode. The model is powered by a robust metal spring wound using a key on the underside. Its six articulated legs continue to move visibly when the model is lifted, emphasizing the insect-like mechanism. The Hexapod can negotiate small uneven areas and obstacles approximately 1–2 cm high. Assembly takes about 8 hours at a medium difficulty level, making it an engaging project for fans of robots, mechanics and nature-inspired engineering.
