Description
The Levenhuk 3S NG biological microscope is designed for beginners of different ages and provides 200x magnification for observing transparent specimens in transmitted light. The optical tube and stage can be tilted together for a more comfortable viewing position. An achromatic objective helps produce a clear image with reduced chromatic aberration. Illumination is supplied by a concave mirror that concentrates ambient light, so the microscope requires no batteries or mains power. A diaphragm disk between the mirror and specimen controls the amount of light reaching the sample. The 90 × 100 mm stage has specimen clips, and focusing is performed by moving the tube vertically; the wide focus range can also help compensate for differences in eyesight. The body is entirely metal and the heavy base improves stability. The package includes the Levenhuk K50 experiment kit with prepared specimens and tools for making your own slides.
