Description
The Discovery Pico Polar is an entry-level biological microscope with glass optics and straightforward controls. Its monocular head uses a revolving nosepiece with three achromatic objectives—4x, 10x and 40x—while coaxial coarse and fine focusing help produce a sharp image. The spring-loaded 40x objective protects the front lens from accidental contact. The head rotates 360° and is inclined 30° for comfortable viewing. Specimens are secured on the stage with clips, and adjustable illumination provides suitable brightness; the light can be powered either from the mains or by batteries. The set includes the illustrated knowledge book “Invisible World,” which introduces beginners to microscopy and first observations of microorganisms, bacteria, fungi and aquatic life.
